Please call to confirm your requested departure time at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Reservations booked less than 24hrs prior to arrival are not guaranteed until confirmed by the vendor. Redeem your voucher at 530 Harbor Blvd., Destin, FL 32541 with a representative. It is best to arrive at least 45 minutes early for instruction.

What Happens on Your Sunset Tour
Plan on arriving at our 530 Harbor Blvd dock about 45 minutes before your departure time. You will check in with our team, get a safety briefing, and meet your captain. From there, the group heads out of the Destin Harbor and into Choctawhatchee Bay — the prime habitat for our resident dolphins.
Your guide knows the bay’s current patterns and the dolphins’ usual hangouts, so we get you to the right water for the best chance of a sighting. You will keep a respectful distance — wild animals only come close when they choose to — but the chance is high. As the sun drops, the sky turns from blue to orange to pink, and the entire harbor rim lights up. Tour total run time depends on the package and conditions, but you should plan on roughly an hour and a half on the water.
Our Boats, Skis & What’s Included
Our sunset dolphin tour can be experienced on our guided jet ski tour, on the Tipsy Tiki, or via a private pontoon rental — whichever way you want to chase the sunset, we have you covered.
Photos are not currently included on the dolphin jet ski tour — we recommend bringing a waterproof phone pouch or a strapped GoPro to capture your own footage. If you want a hands-free option, ask about pairing your evening with a parasailing flight earlier in the day so we can photograph you from the boat.
Who Can Join — Ages, Requirements & What to Bring
Age & weight (jet ski option): Drivers must be at least 18; passengers must be at least 5 and able to sit safely behind the driver. Total combined weight on a WaveRunner cannot exceed 400 lbs.
Florida Boater Safety requirement: Anyone driving a WaveRunner who was born on or after January 1, 1988 must carry a Florida Boater Safety Education ID Card. You can complete the temporary online test before you arrive — we’ll send the link with your booking confirmation.
What to bring: Your booking confirmation, valid photo ID, a major credit card for verification, sunglasses on a strap, sunscreen, a quick-dry cover-up, and a waterproof phone case if you’d like to take pictures. The sunset breeze can get cool — a lightweight layer is smart.
Wildlife rules: You may not feed, chase, touch, or approach dolphins in the water. They are wild animals, and the best sightings happen when we let them come to us.

Season: Sunset dolphin tours run daily, typically March through December, weather permitting. Departure times shift with the sun — generally departing roughly 90 minutes before sunset so you’re on the water for the golden-hour window. Check the booking calendar for live times by date.

Cancellation policy: Cancel at least 24 hours prior for a full refund. Cancellations inside that window are non-refundable. If we cancel for weather, we’ll reschedule or refund. No-shows are not refunded.

Parking
Gilligan's Watersports (530 Harbor Blvd): parking is free and right on property, first come, first served — if our lot fills, overflow parking is at 531 Mountain Drive.
Xtreme H2O (7 Calhoun Ave): public parking at the Destin Marina, first come, first served — space runs tight on busy evenings, so carpool if you can.
Check-In
Check in 45 minutes ahead with a valid photo ID. Both cruises are captained — the crew boards you and runs the safety briefing before pushing off.
Worth packing: reef-safe sunscreen, a strapped hat, a light layer for after the sun drops, a camera with a strap, and a small soft-sided cooler with snacks and drinks (no glass).
